UK podcasting company www.podcastgeneration.com is pleased to announce its association with the Sony Radio Academy Awards.

2007 sees the 25th anniversary of the Awards where the UK Radio industry’s creative and technical leading lights are honoured. To commemorate this milestone, a special podcast has been produced featuring highlights from previous years. The podcast is hosted by podcastgeneration.com.

“This is a great honour for us,” says Andrew Buonocore of podcastgeneration.com.

“As a child, radio was an integral part of my life and I don’t think that affinity with the medium has ever gone away. To be associated with the Sony Radio Awards is extremely important for us, particularly as so many of my favourite broadcasters are past winners. The fact that the 2007 Awards will also honour podcasts via the new Internet Programme Award shows that the Academy is keen embrace the new generation of broadcasters.”

Today, podcastgeneration.com launched the UK’s simplest pricing structure for prodcast creation and production.

A full service including recording, production and hosting will cost Â£300 plus VAT and travel expenses (where required) while those requiring only production of existing files will pay Â£200 plus VAT.

Andrew Buonocore of podcastgeneration.com says “The prices we were hearing about that were being charged in the UK were frankly a disgrace. Some companies set out to make podcasting sound like alchemy, something that only a few people could understand and therefore charge the Earth.

We don’t believe that is the case so our simple pricing reflects a fair price for what we do.”
